Conductive elastomers have the ability to provide good electrical conductivity across an uneven interface between the flange and the gasket, consequently improving the EMI/RFI shielding efficiency of the gasket. Conductive elastomer gaskets may be:

Die-cut to a maximum size of 32 inches long x 32 inches wide x 0.125 inches thick.
Molded in any solid cross section (not less than 0.040 inches in diameter). Outer dimensions of molded gaskets can be no more than 34 inches in any direction, although larger parts can be achieved through splicing.
Extruded, with no limits on length. There is a minimum of 0.028 inches for the solid cross-section of the extrusions. Contact us for more details.

Conductive Plastics (Chomerics, Parker Seals)

Lightweight and economical, a wide variety of EMI/RFI shielding covers can be made from plastic substrates, and are especially useful and popular in such applications as handheld wireless devices, mobile site equipment, antennas and microwave equipment.

Form-In-Place Gaskets (Chomerics, Parker Seals)

Form-In-Place technology from Chomerics enables precise positioning of conductive elastomer EMI/RFI shielding gaskets in space-saving, conformable cross-sections.

Low Closure Force Gaskets (Chomerics, Parker Seals)

Low closure force, foam core EMI/RFI shielding gaskets are available in a range of materials to meet specific applications and environments, including conductive yarn over foam, knitted wire over foam, foil/fabric and conductive fabric over foam, and high performance fabric-wrapped foam.

Wire Mesh / Metal Gaskets (Chomerics, Parker Seals)

EMI/RFI shielding is also available in the form of metal gaskets, which can be supplied in a variety of forms including knitted wire mesh, mesh over elastomer core, oriented wires in elastomers and metal screen- or expanded foil-impregnated elastomers.

Grounding Tabs (Chomerics, Parker Seals)

Grounding tabs are a means of ensuring that all metal elements in a chassis are bonded to the same ground, often more economically than by reworking a design or fitting enclosure shielding. Conductive grounding tabs may be manufactured from a variety of EMI gasket materials, including conductive elastomers, conductively jacketed foam, knitted wire mesh and springfinger strips.

Conductive Tapes and Laminates (Chomerics, Parker Seals)

Conductive tapes and laminates are available in a range of custom die-cut and converted varieties. Tapes are available with adhesive backings and can provide a highly effective alternative to more expensive plating and coating processes.

Shielded Vents (Chomerics, Parker Seals)

EMI shielded vents, airflow panels and air filters, which are up handling modern EMI and heat dissipation requirements, are available in a wide range of configurations for a variety of settings and environments.

Shielded Windows (Chomerics, Parker Seals)

Cable Shielding (Chomerics, Parker Seals)

EMI/RFI cable shielding is available in a variety of forms to suit each application, including zippered cable shielding, conductive heat shrinkable shielding, EMI ferrites, EMI absorbers, flat cable EMI shielding and knitted wire mesh tape.
